SEEKING REGISTERED & CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN FOR NON-STERILE COMPOUNDING.
~NO INTERACTION WITH CUSTOMERS!~
~NO NIGHTS AND NO WEEKENDS!~
We are NOT currently hiring tech trainees.
Duties:(Not all-inclusive)
Perform drug calculations
Compound prescriptions into various forms such as liquids, ointments, chewables, and capsules. This includes measuring, pouring, mixing, grinding, weighing, etc and includes long periods of time standing
Label medications
Maintain accurate logs for all compounding duties
Inventory control
Manage workflow
Requirements:
Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Technician **Please provide your license # when applying**
Good math skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work on a team
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Must have reliable transportation and good attendance
Requires excellent dexterity and able to lift 20 lbs
About Our Company:
BCP Veterinary Pharmacy has been making prescription medications for animals all over the USA since1994. Are you a recent Pharmacy Tech graduate with no experience? We will train you on-the-job for compounding! Are you tired of part-time shift work in retail? Our positions are full-time, daytime, with an unchanging schedule. Most compounding technicians at BCP work in departmental teams customizing prescription medications and do not interact with customers!
Full-time BCP technicians work 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday and get a one hour lunchbreak. We are closed on nights, weekends and 6 major holidays. BCP offers health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k accounts with matching company contributions, a performance bonus, attendance bonuses, and profit sharing for full-time employees. New hire pay rates start at $17 per hour with a small raise available after a probationary period. PTO is earned after one year of full-time work. Bonuses are available each calendar month for perfect attendance.
BCP is located in the midtown area of Houston, Texas - easy to get to from all the major freeways - and we have free parking too! BCP has a casual work environment (no uniforms or scrubs required) and welcomes all religions, genders, ethnicities, ages, and ****** orientations.
