ABHI is an institution committed to improving the lives of people by providing quality education in business and healthcare. We are currently seeking an instructor for our Pharmacy Assistant Program that will make a fine addition to our team. The candidate must be available to work weekdays and weekends on a part-time basis.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Must possess a Diploma or Certificate in Pharmaceutical Health Sciences or related field and Certification as a Pharmacy Assistant.
Must have at least three (2) years work related experience
Minimum of one (1) year instructional experience or holds a training certificate in adult education (asset).
Experience preparing (non) sterile pharmaceutical products.
Current knowledge of local labor markets specific to program needs.
SKILL SET/ABILITIES
Relevant industry skills and knowledge related to the area of instruction including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of the students.
Confident, enthusiastic, engaging, and dynamic presenter.
Passionate and driven to make a difference in the student’s lives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaches and implements the total curriculum, as assigned by, and under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
Create dynamic and engaging classrooms to facilitate adult learners in achieving their learning objectives both in the classroom and laboratory settings.
Is instrumental in identifying individual and collective learning needs of assigned students, being cognizant of the physical, mental and emotional status of the learners.
Maintains records of student progress and performance, attendance and grades.
Prepares, administers, and grades, written and practical examinations during course of study fairly.
Devises written lesson plans and implements them through lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc.
Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience.
Participates in regular faculty related meetings.
Implement and adhere to all college policies and procedures.
