Role Description The PGT Legal Studies role is a full-time, on-site position based at Delhi Public School Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram. The educator will design and deliver engaging Legal Studies lessons for senior school learners, aligned with the prescribed curriculum and school standards. Daily responsibilities include planning lesson content, preparing teaching materials, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves mentoring learners, supporting exam preparation, organizing academic activities related to law and legal awareness, and maintaining accurate academic records. The PGT Legal Studies teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Law and Legal Issues, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and contextually to senior school learners.
• Experience in Legal Consulting or academic guidance, including support on case studies, debates, and legal awareness activities.
• Competence in Legal Document Preparation and analysis, enabling learners to understand formats, structure, and purpose of legal documents.
• Excellent Communication skills for effective classroom delivery, student counseling, and collaboration with parents and colleagues.
• Master’s degree in Law or related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (such as B.Ed) suitable for senior secondary level.
• Prior experience teaching Legal Studies or related subjects at senior school level, preferably in a CBSE or equivalent curriculum.
• Ability to integrate contemporary legal developments, ethics, and civic responsibility into classroom discussions.
• Strong classroom management skills, commitment to child safety, and alignment with the school’s values of inclusivity and excellence.
