ATTENTION CANDIDATES: We have an immediate need for a Step Van Drivers!
DOT/MEC Certification is Required!
Pearl Transport LLC is a delivery package company. Offering full and part-time schedules to compliment your daily lifestyle or increase cash earnings. Our Uniformed Package Delivery Driver Associates will be delivering packages to neighboring customers in the Washington, DC and Prince George's County, MD Area. The hourly wage is $1+.50, with a chance to earn extra bonus incentives.
In this job you will:
We are looking for Safe Driving Van Operators who are willing to earn an incentive for FANTASTIC QUALITY IN DELIVERY, FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE IN SAFETY AND ACHIEVE AN WEEKLY 850 FICO SCORE
• Safely operate and deliver out of branded Vans.
• Work 4 days a week (to include 1 Mandatory Weekend Day, i.e. Saturday or Sunday) for a total of 40 hours (Up to 10 hrs. per day)
• Start your shift at +:30 am.
• Earn $1+.50
• You can also qualified in operating a Step Van and earn $20.50
• Work in an active, independent, and inclusive team environment.
Experience driving larger (box truck) delivery vehicles for more than 1 year is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Deliver an average of 180 packages per day.
• Safely drive and operate company delivery van at all times.
• Use handheld device and GPS for routing information, customer delivery information.
• Navigate a variety of routes throughout the delivery area.
• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
• Load and unload packages to be delivered.
• Must be able to move and lift packages up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to get in and out of the van and walk up and down stairs through your shift at a steady pace
• Be CUSTOMER OBSESSED!! We strive to deliver packages and smiles to our customers.
You can qualify to be a certified Step Van Driver
• $1+.50 Per Hour (must qualify to operate a Step Van)
Note: Delivery Drivers will receive a pay increase to $1+.50 after taking their first Step Van Route
• Paid DOT Certification Training
• You will be eligible for health insurance and paid time off
• Pay Frequency: Weekly or Four Times Monthly
Basic Requirements:
• At least 21 years of age
• Eligible to work in the U.S
• Valid Maryland and District of Columbia Driving License
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
• Successfully complete eight (8) hours of Company-paid DOT training and certification, as well as a DOT Physical and Road Test
• Be familiar and able to operate a smart phone and camera using various Amazon apps and GPS technology without aide.
• ACTIVE DOT CERTIFICATION IS A PLUS
• MUST COMPLETE REQUIRED ASSESSMENT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR INTERVIEW.
