Payroll/HR Coordinator

Schedule / Expected Hours: 40 hours per week, In-Person (No hybrid/remote work)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Non-Exempt, $28.84 – $33.65 per hour

Job Summary:

Gotham Ready Mix, LLC is seeking an adaptable and organized Payroll/HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources and Payroll team. The Payroll/HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department, with a focus on payroll reporting, progressive disciplinary action, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain employee records, including personnel files, payroll records, and disciplinary actions.

· Prepare reports on employee turnover, absenteeism, and other HR metrics.

· Utilize ADP Workforce Now to collect and input payroll data.

· Enter and code timesheets for employees including time off requests, leave of absence, jury duty, garnishments, etc.

· Administer and document disciplinary action as provided by management.

· Administer employee contracts and benefits.

· Coordinate training and development programs.

· Serve as a liaison between employees and management.

· Respond to employee inquiries.

· Complete onboarding and offboarding processes.

· Uphold confidentiality and security of confidential information.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to HR and Payroll.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

· Exceptional organizational skills.

· Problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

· Minimum 2 years of payroll experience required.

· Strong knowledge and hands on experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

· Associate’s degree in related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.84 - $33.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
