We are looking for a Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our firm.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who is client oriented and able to handle multi-tasking. Attention to details and strong interpersonal skills are an asset.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and have strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Pro and other PDF readers, and faxing, scanning and e-filing documents.
• Knowledge of Surrogate Court Digital Service, and Land Titles and City Online searches.
• Experience in Wills and Estates, and Real Estate practice including drafting and preparing documents from instructions and precedents for Wills, POA and PD; applications for Grant of Probate and Administration; residential purchases, sales and mortgages; and other supporting correspondence, documents and reporting letters.
• Manage inquiries and setting up of appointments; the client filing system; and client invoicing, receipt and recording of payments.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
