Role Overview
The Parts & Sales Coordinator is a customer-facing role responsible for assisting retail customers, supporting our marine technicians with parts ordering, and contributing to the overall efficiency and presentation of our chandlery. This position combines product knowledge, sales ability, organization, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
Communicate effectively with customers and vendors by phone, email, and in person.
Recommend appropriate marine parts, products, and services based on customer needs.
Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including new products and current industry trends.
Accurately process sales, special orders, and returns through the POS system.
Maintain and update customer records to ensure accuracy and support ongoing sales and service operations.
Maintain clean and organized retail displays and work areas.
Restock inventory as needed and ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Order and track parts for the service department, ensuring accuracy and timely availability.
Assist with inventory control, stock counts, receiving, and restocking procedures.
Work closely with the service and operations teams to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Previous parts counter or retail sales experience is an asset; marine industry experience is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of marine products and components, particularly Volvo Penta, Mercury/MerCruiser, and Yanmar systems.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Proficient with point-of-sale (POS) systems and standard computer applications.
Experience with parts ordering, inventory control, and stock management processes.
Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a proactive and positive attitude.

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
