SPIRIT GUIDE — RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE (Part-Time) 1933 Liquor Co. — Vancouver, BC $18.25–$20 per hour, based on experience 20–30 hours per week
About 1933
1933 Liquor Co. is a boutique wine and liquor store with prohibition-era roots and a modern, tech-forward approach. We're a small, fast-moving team that takes craft, customer service, and culture seriously — and we have a good time doing it. We're growing fast and looking for the next great addition to our floor team.
The Role
You'll be the face of 1933 to every customer who walks through the door. Helping people discover new wines, craft beers, spirits, and local favorites. Running the till. Stocking shelves. Packing online and delivery orders. Supporting tastings and store events. Keeping the place sharp and welcoming.
This isn't a clock-punching job. The business is growing, the work moves quickly, and we want someone who's curious about product, eager to learn, and proud of doing the job well.
What You'll Do
Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
Recommend products, suggest pairings, and help customers discover something new
Run the POS efficiently and accurately — process cash, debit, and credit transactions
Receive deliveries, unload pallets, and restock shelves with cases and bottles
Apply price tags, update signage, and set up promotional displays
Pack online orders for our website and delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Skip)
Support in-store tastings, events, and product activations
Maintain store cleanliness — dusting, sweeping, cleaning spills, organizing the back area
Bring positive energy to every shift
Who You Are
Friendly, sharp, and customer-focused
19+ with a valid Serving It Right certificate (or able to obtain before start date)
Available evenings and weekends
Comfortable on your feet for full shifts and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Genuine interest in wine, beer, or spirits — bonus points if you've been studying
Reliable, on time, and easy to work with
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Considered an Asset
Previous retail or liquor store experience
WSET training or other beverage education
Familiarity with Shopify POS or third-party delivery platforms
