About the Role: As a Parcel Sorting Officer, you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. The best part? This is a permanent part-time role, where you’ll work just one day a week – Mondays, 2.30pm – 10.21pm– giving you the flexibility to balance your personal life whether that’s work, spending more time with the kids, juggling study commitments, or anything else that makes you happy!

You’ll be

Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners
Manually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines
Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility
About you

You’re available to work one day a week, Mondays, 2.30pm – 10.21pm
You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail
You’re safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
You enjoy a fast paced environment where you can complete compliance checks
You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
