Job Description
Learning Proctor/Paraprofessional
Report To: School Administrator
Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the School Administrator, Proctors will oversee a group of students who may be working independently.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
A background in education and/or college courses in recreation or education
is preferred but not required
Childcare work experience is preferred but not required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Must enjoy working with school aged children/youth
Must possess a positive attitude and serve as a role model to the children/youth
Willing to assist children with logging in to computers
Ability to communicate effectively with students
Must be able to maintain confidentiality with discretion and professionalism
Must be able to work well with others
Must be able to pass to Fingerprint/background check clearance
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain records and logs
2. Maintaining space utilized in a neat and orderly manner
3. Communicate with parents, coordinator and/or administrator in a courteous and professional manner
4. Perform related duties as assigned by coordinator and/or administrator
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Group of students/children assigned
