Job Description Summary:
The Paralegal/Legal Secretary will assist in the management of the legal / corporate affairs of the Company. Key areas of focus include assisting with registrations, entity management, contractor's licensing processes, bonding, and service of process items, as well as administrative tasks related to internal and outside counsel management.

This is a hybrid position (3 days in office) based in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files, ensuring accurate filing and easy accessibility.
Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and deadlines for the legal team.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between the legal department and other company departments, clients, and external parties.
Research: Conduct legal research and gather information relevant to ongoing matters.
Record Keeping: Maintain and update files, project records, and legal databases.
Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing invoices, managing emails, and handling mail.
Contractor Licensing and Bonding: Manage and ensure compliance with contractor licensing and bonding requirements, including application submissions, renewals, and maintaining up-to-date records.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
High school diploma.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal, preferably within the construction or renewable energy industry.
Notary is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation related to construction law, as well as contractor licensing and bonding requirements.
Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
