The Outreach Manager of an Eye Hospital is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring community outreach programs to promote accessible and affordable eye care services. The role involves identifying underserved populations, coordinating eye screening camps, and strengthening referral networks through vision centers, NGOs, and local healthcare providers.
The Outreach Manager develops strategies to increase patient footfall, especially for cataract and other preventable blindness conditions. They manage field teams, including community health workers and volunteers, ensuring efficient execution of outreach activities. Building partnerships with government bodies, corporate organizations, and community leaders is a key responsibility to expand service reach.
The role also includes tracking outreach performance, maintaining accurate data records, and preparing reports on screenings, surgeries, and patient conversions. The Outreach Manager ensures awareness campaigns are effectively conducted to educate communities on eye health, preventive care, and available treatments.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role. The Outreach Manager plays a vital role in achieving the hospital’s mission of eliminating avoidable blindness by connecting quality eye care services with the communities that need them the most.
