Responsibilities:
• Prepare the Operation Theater (OT) for all elective and emergency procedures as per hospital protocols.
• Ensure timely communication with Sr. Consultants, Anesthetists, and other OT staff about scheduled procedures for smooth execution.
• Assist in explaining the procedure details to patients in the ward, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
• Ensure patients are prepared for the surgery by following the Pre-Procedure Check List and adhering to clinician and anesthetist instructions.
• Ensure that all necessary consents are signed, and payments are processed before the procedure begins at Motherhood Hospital.
• Sterilize and prepare all surgical instruments and ensure OT cleanliness before and after procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning, draping, and prepping before surgery.
• Maintain OT equipment and report any malfunctions to ensure seamless operations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for patient transfers and post-operative care.
• Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety regulations within the OT environment at Motherhood Hospital.
Requirements:
