Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle and MS SQL database management, with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and MS SQL databases.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning as needed.
• Evaluate and improve database security, integrity, and backup/recovery processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues independently.
• Collaborate with global teams and ensure seamless communication.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement best practices for database management and compliance.

Requirements:
• At least 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator (Oracle & MS SQL).
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to accommodate 2 hours of time overlap with the California time zone.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with database security, backup, and recovery.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable.
