We have a rare opportunity for an optometric assistant to join our optical family at View Pointe! We are an optometrist office + optical boutique that opened in August 2019 and we are located on South Pembina Highway. We feature both independent eyewear and well-known brands. We strive to provide the ultimate patient experience with both exceptional eyecare and personalized eyewear, having our patients feel confident in the eyewear they choose.
The position is for 4-5 days/week. Wednesday evenings are required, however we close at 3pm on Fridays and we are closed every weekend. We believe we have the best work-life balance!
As an optometric assistant, you will be responsible for greeting patients, checking them both in and out of the office, submitting insurance claims, answering the phone, booking appointments, providing tech assistance to our optometrists, assisting patients with finding the right frame and lenses and other various duties as assigned.
The right candidate must be a self-starter, a team player, outgoing, friendly, reliable and have great communication and customer service skills. Computer skills, strong attention to detail and a desire to learn are required. Customer service experience is required. Some optical experience is also required; however we are willing to fully train the right candidate and we would love to have someone grow with us! We value long-term relationships and we want someone who is looking for a career and not just a job. Salary reflects experience.
