Job Description
Mountain View Optometry is looking for an enthusiastic new member to join our Nelson team. We are an independently owned optometry clinic with an extensive frame gallery and a satellite location in Nakusp.
The ability to multi-task is necessary as your duties will include patient pre-testing, frame selection, lens dispensing, glasses repair and adjustments, booking patients, phone calls, etc. Optical work is technical so we are looking for someone who is good with numbers, detail oriented and adaptable to using technology. Above all, we are looking for a team member who is committed to excellent customer service and fosters a work environment of respect and collaboration. Financial support can be provided for applicants interested in furthering their career with training as an optometric assistant or optician
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an optometric or medical setting is an asset but not a requirement.
At least 3 years experience working customer service in some capacity.
A typical work week schedule will be Mon-Thurs 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 9am-4pm
