Essential Responsibilities:
Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
Maintain Alaska Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
Successful completion pre-employment drug and ******* testing
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC
Rates
Operators will be provided a base rate of $28.++ to $35.55/ hr.
Compensation
This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
