Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager – Statutory Compliance to lead and manage our statutory compliance division, with a particular focus on labor law compliance, ESI, PF, and other allied statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met across our client base while optimising operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Labor Law Compliance
• Ensure compliance with labor laws such as the Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Shops Establishments Act, etc.
• Maintain statutory records, registers, and returns as required.
• Conduct audits and ensure proper documentation.
• ESI PF Compliance
• Oversee employee registration, contribution calculations, and timely submissions for ESI and PF.
• Handle queries and coordinate with government authorities.
• Other Compliance Areas
• Manage compliance with laws like the Maternity Benefit Act and Sexual Harassment Act.
• Keep updated on legal changes and advise management and clients.
• Team Client Management
• Lead a team of compliance executives to ensure timely deliverables.
• Support clients with compliance-related queries and audits.
• Training Reporting
• Train teams and clients on compliance updates and processes.
• Prepare and share compliance reports with management and clients.
Key Skills Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, ESI, PF, and related regulations.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in statutory compliance.
• Good communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with compliance software is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Business Administration, or related fields (MBA/LLB preferred).
