About The Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Assist in coordinating and tracking shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to schedule pickups and deliveries
• Help monitor transportation costs and analyze freight rates to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of shipping documents, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts
• Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods
• Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock reconciliations
• Help in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency
• Support the logistics team in managing relationships with logistics service providers and suppliers
• Help resolve logistics-related issues or delays, coordinating with internal teams and external partners as needed
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to optimize the overall supply chain
Requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting
