Operational Quality Technician

We are seeking Operational Quality Technician to join the team at Carmel who will be responsible to provide quality support to all operational activities, including but not limited to ensuring compliance with Cannabis Regulations, Cannabis Act, Good Production Practices (GPP) and other Health Canada Acts and Regulations for all the production processes at Carmel Facility: production, processing, packaging, labelling, inventory. Reporting to Director of Quality, the successful candidate must have an eye for detail and a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Perform all Quality Control and Quality Assurance related activities as per established SOPs.
Responsible for the Issuance of Batch Records and other required documents and forms.
Review completed and submitted documentation.
Work with production and inventory staff to review and prepare batch records for release by QAP.
Strictly follow all the established procedures and approved SOPs.
Perform sample collection for production in-process check, environmental conditions check and/or at the end of different processes.
Prepare and submit samples to third party lab for analytical testing.
Complete production materials and packaging components inspection upon receipt at the facility and release for internal use.
Monitoring and auditing completion of sanitation processes at the facility.
Inspect and release rooms and areas for operational activities, if needed.
Perform immediate in-process risk assessment for incidents like broken glass, unexpected contaminations, incomplete cleaning and others.
Verify information for shipping documents, labels, logs and forms.
Assist in training process: perform training when SOPs are updated.
Log all received complaints and assist with their investigation.
Assist with identification of deviation and provide support during investigation process.
Update required logs as per established procedures and maintaining proper record-keeping.
Provide full support during Health Canada, CRA and other 3rd party inspections.
Complete other production, warehouse and maintenance tasks as needed.
Assist other departments as necessary.
Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
General requirements:

Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Communicate all the observed issues in clear way, assist in finding solutions.
Assist other departments, if necessary.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Contribute positively to the good vibes and collaborative nature of our team.
Key Skills:

Great attention to detail and focus.
High-school math knowledge- required.
Good organization and time management skills.
Ability to work in high-paced environment.
Strong multitasking skills.
Ability to work under pressure, during audits and after-hours if required.
Ability to stay organized and follow SOPs to ensure consistency of processes.
Passion for great quality cannabis.
Ability to sit or stand for sustained periods of time.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to sit or stand for sustained periods of time.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
This position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials, and it is therefore not suitable for an employee that may suffer from allergies to cannabis/plant pollen material, or experience other medical issues, such as asthma and hay fever, as a result of cannabis/plant material exposure.
Full time hours: 40 per week

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
