ExtraLearn – A Freelance Educational Marketplace by SiteSign, is seeking knowledgeable and passionate Online Science Tutors (Freelance) to provide quality learning support to students across different academic levels. This is a flexible, work-from-home opportunity for educators, science experts, and professionals dedicated to helping learners develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts, enhance analytical thinking, and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct online science tutoring sessions for students of different grades, levels, and learning backgrounds.
Teach fundamental and advanced science concepts, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, and other relevant topics based on the student’s curriculum and academic requirements.
Develop personalized lesson plans according to students’ learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Explain scientific concepts using engaging, practical, and interactive teaching methods, including real-life examples, demonstrations, and experiments where applicable.
Assign worksheets, practice exercises, projects, assessments, and homework to monitor student progress.
Evaluate students’ performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their understanding, confidence, and academic performance.
Create an engaging, supportive, and student-centered virtual learning environment.
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and effective communication with students through the ExtraLearn platform.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of scientific principles, theories, and practical applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching abilities.
Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, training, or online instruction will be an advantage.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards, virtual labs, or other educational tools.
Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods according to different learning styles.
Relevant teaching certifications, advanced qualifications, or professional experience in science education will be an added advantage.
