Job Description
Responsibilities
Content Capture
Visit client locations throughout the Des Moines metro area
Capture short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social platforms
Take high-quality photos for social media, websites, and marketing materials
Gather b-roll footage of businesses, products, services, teams, events, and day-to-day operations
Capture content that aligns with client brand guidelines and marketing goals
Ensure a variety of content formats, angles, and scenes are collected during each session
Client Interaction
Help clients feel comfortable on camera
Provide light coaching and direction during content sessions
Ask questions and prompt conversations that lead to authentic content
Represent Moonwake Collaborative professionally while on-site
Communicate clearly with clients regarding content needs and shoot expectations
Content Organization
Upload and organize content promptly after each session
Label and categorize assets for easy use by the marketing team
Ensure content is delivered according to internal processes and timelines
Qualifications
Required
Located in or near the Des Moines metro area
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations
Strong understanding of social media content and current content trends
Comfortable using an iPhone or similar device to capture photo and video content
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and dependable
Comfortable working independently
Ability to self-manage schedule and meet clients on site in a timely manner
Preferred
Experience creating content for businesses or brands
Basic photography or videography experience
Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn content formats
Experience directing or coaching people on camera
Experience using Canva, CapCut, or other basic editing tools
What Success Looks Like
Capturing a wide variety of usable content during each session
Helping clients feel confident and comfortable on camera
Delivering organized assets that make content creation easier for our team
Identifying creative opportunities and content angles during shoots
Consistently representing Moonwake Collaborative with professionalism

Position Overview
As an On-Site Content Creator, you will visit client locations to capture photos, videos, b-roll footage, behind-the-scenes content, team interactions, products, services, and other marketing assets that our internal team will use to create social media content.
You do not need to be a professional videographer with expensive equipment. Many of our shoots will be captured on an iPhone. What matters most is your ability to frame shots well, identify engaging content opportunities, make clients feel comfortable, and gather a variety of assets that support strong social media storytelling.
This is a flexible, contract-based position with assignments scheduled throughout the month.
