Oil Plant Operator – Local Position (50km from Grande Prairie)
Schedule: 10-hour days 8 Days On / 6 Days Off
Location: Local to Grande Prairie (No Camp – 50km Radius)

About the Opportunity
GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd.,is hiring an experienced Oil Plant Operator to support the daily operations and maintenance of a local plant near Grande Prairie. This is a long-term, stable opportunity to work close to home with a company committed to professional growth, safety, and Indigenous community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Operation & Maintenance: Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment, focusing on high efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Process Unit Expertise: Experience with Amine and Sulfur Recovery Units is highly regarded.
System Monitoring: Utilize and respond to control systems, alarms, and instrumentation deviations promptly and effectively.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve process and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Maintenance Planning: Support planning and execution of regular maintenance and outage schedules.
Emergency Response: Participate in drills and incidents with high safety awareness and readiness.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and documentation of plant operations and performance metrics.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to safety and operational improvements through feedback and proactive suggestions.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior staff in alignment with GrizzlyTrek’s mentorship culture.
Who You Are
Experienced Operator: You bring hands-on experience in oil and gas plant operations, with a strong preference for sour gas handling.
Oil Battery Expertise: Familiarity with oil battery operations, including pump jacks, plunger lifts, and related equipment is a significant asset.
Safety-Driven: You have a strong safety mindset and a track record of reliability in field operations, especially in high-risk environments.
Team-Oriented and Independent: Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced operations team.
Locally Based: Reside within commuting distance of Grande Prairie – this is a local position with no camp or fly-in arrangements.
