Offline Operations amp sales Manager
Job Description
Role Overview: The Offline Operations and Sales Manager is a dynamic professional responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of offline operations while driving sales initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of operational expertise, sales acumen, and leadership skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive plans and strategies for the entire Offline Business. Draft the Annual Operating Plan to achieve the company's sales and profitability goals, including contributions to the offline channel's budget preparation.
• Business Leadership: Head the overall Business & Operations of offline retail locations, ensuring the monthly targets are met.
• Coordination and Compliance: Oversee daily coordination, performance, and legal compliance for offline operations.
• Human Resources Management: Strategically plan end-to-end human resources processes, including interviews, filtering, commercials, incentives, replacements, and retention in alignment with Company policies. Collaborate closely with the HR department.
• Process Development: Create robust Systems and Processes (SOPs) for the day-to-day operations of all offline Human resources, including Key Result Areas (KRA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments, including Category, E-commerce, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
• Training and Development: Guide the training team on sales training, ensuring all employees receive regular training.
• Audit and Compliance: Take ownership of the audit plan for all store locations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep master documents, templates, and reports updated, such as audit review reports, training reports, sales reports, store-wise P/L, SOPs, Employees' KRA-KPI, AOP, Budget Plan, and other applicable documents. Share timely updates with Senior Management.
• Strategic Communication: Communicate the company's strategy, business priorities, and targets to teams and ensure effective systems for Store Managers to receive information.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with HR, Training, IT, Retail, VM, and Inventory teams to achieve business objectives.
• Positive Work Culture: Maintain a healthy and motivating work culture among colleagues, junior store employees, and interdepartmental teams.
• Store Maintenance: Ensure stores maintain outstanding conditions and adhere to visual merchandising standards.
• Process Optimization: Analyze gaps, design solutions and SOPs, and implement improvements in any business process related to offline sales.
• Market Awareness: Stay updated on market trends in the retail industry, customer initiatives, and local competitors' activities.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and nurture partnerships and relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners such as senior officials at airports, malls, and specialty in-store locations (SIS).
• Brand Consistency: Ensure offline stores consistently meet the brand's standards, including store design, staff appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and ambiance.
• Expansion Strategies: Contribute profitable ideas for offline expansion.
• Performance Review: Review team and individual performance, providing immediate feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
• Performance Management: Identify and proactively manage poor performance issues using appropriate company policies.
• Retail Targets: Track and update all retail targets, effectively communicating them to the team.
• Adaptation: Be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Ensure the retail shop is well-presented and merchandised to the highest standards, focusing on profitable items and achieving retail Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Prioritize increasing Sales, Average Transaction Value (ATV), and conversion rates to drive margin and profit, achieving targets.
• Understand daily, weekly, and monthly store targets, clearly communicating these goals in terms of sales, profitability, costs, staffing levels, and ensuring the team is well-informed.
• Conduct morning briefings and create daily/weekly deployment plans to focus the team on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.
• Recognize the impact of visual merchandising and price point balance on customer conversion, average spending, and gross profit margin.
• Ensure proper opening, closing, and cash management procedures, including accurate paperwork completion and setting targets for the next day.
• Keep all staff informed about product changes, offers, and promotions.
• Work to minimize stock loss in the store and follow safety and security procedures diligently.
