Accounts Payable/Receivable (A/P & A/R): Processing invoices, managing vendor payments, tracking customer payments, and collections.
Payroll: Administering payroll, calculating wages, and managing related remittances (e.g., WSIB, HST).
Bank Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and ledgers to ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements, budgets, and reports for management or boards.
General Ledger: Posting transactions, maintaining accounting files, and managing chart of accounts.
Tax Support: Assisting with tax documents and government filings.
Office Management:
Daily Operations: Overseeing general office functions, mail, and supplies.
Administration: Acting as receptionist, managing calls, scheduling, and handling general office tasks.
Systems: Implementing and improving office procedures and systems.
HR Support: Assisting with new employee onboarding, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
