About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Director for Surgery, Department of Rehabilitation - Occupational Therapy, in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. ['Apply the use of therapeutic modalities and new integrative techniques and technologies for the purpose of evaluation and ongoing treatment.', 'Develop goal-oriented treatment plans for patients with needs including physical rehabilitation, neurological/cognitive impairments and pain/mental health disorders.', 'Assist with developing and overseeing standard operating procedures for the occupational therapy clinic.', 'Plan, coordinate, and implement goal-oriented group and mental focused individual Occupational Therapist treatment programs.', 'Evaluate patients to obtain information related to their functional limitations and activity restrictions.', 'Provide patient and family education on the injury and disease process.'] FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
