Occupational Health and Safety Manager
We are seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Manager to oversee compliance with health and safety laws and regulations for a global financial institution. In this role, you will develop and maintain safety programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of care. Responsibilities include maintaining safe work systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing emergency response plans, and investigating incidents to prevent reoccurrence. The ideal candidate will have relevant safety management qualifications, experience working with multinational organizations, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a contract-to-perm role with excellent prospects for advancement.
• Establish and promote a first-class health and safety service for the organization
• Maintain safe work systems through regular risk assessments and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards and relevant legislation
• Develop and maintain the corporate safety management system
• Promote a culture of safety through training and supervision
• Provide technical advice and support to health and safety committees
• Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to identify root causes
Experience and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a similar role for a multinational organization
• Relevant safety management qualifications and experience with ISO 45001
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and techniques
• Investigative and report writing skills
• Membership in a Health and Safety professional body
• Experience in developing effective H&S management systems
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
