Full job description
What You’ll Do
Perform scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs on commercial kitchen equipment (e.g. combi ovens, fryers, dishwashers, grills) and other commercial and industrial equipment.
Work on single-phase and three-phase appliances, within the legal scope of your EWRB EST licence.
Replace parts such as elements, fans, switches, thermostats, control boards.
Carry out safety checks, insulation resistance testing, and test tagging.
Communicate clearly with clients and maintain accurate service records.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to compliance standards.
Provide specialist support for commercial kitchen equipment (training provided if needed).
Uphold strict safety and compliance standards, including job safety analyses (JSAs).
Collaborate with the team to deliver timely and effective client service.
What We’re Looking For
A valid Electrical Service Technician (EST) practising licence in NZ (essential).
Experience with appliance servicing—especially commercial kitchen or catering equipment.
Confident and competent at working on 3-phase commercial appliances.
NZ driver's licence (manual).
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Experience with commercial kitchen equipment is preferred (training available)
Willing to pass a police check and have legal work rights in NZ.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 – $38.00 per hour
