Job description
Provide professional nursing care with an assigned unit accordingto established standards and procedures.
Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients.
Follows policy and delivers designated nursing interventions toassigned patients that are consistent with the documented medical plan of care.
Takes the nursing history, summarizes data and states nursingdiagnoses / patient care needs.
Organize and maintain patient file and reports as per the MRD requirementsin all shifts.
Always greet with smile to patient and companion for theirwell-being.
Be groomed always.
Observes and records signs, symptoms and behaviors including thephysiological status of patients reports, assessment changes to the concernedauthority.
Ensure smooth functioning of admission, discharge and transferprocedures and assists others with patients activities and care withcollaborative manner.
Follow handover-takeover process accurately with written/onlinenotes.
Ensure introduction of next shift team member to patient andpatient side medication check in each shift.
Executes physicians orders for all assigned patients safely andproperly administers medications and treatments. Strictly adhere read backpolicy
Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens duringcollection and till the report informed to consultant.
Participate in consultants rounds and assist by giving relevantinformation based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.
Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipments arein working order.
Keep equipments in charging.
Ensure that all items used for patients inclusive of medications,surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged.
Ensure during internal transfer except the ordered medicine allother drug to be returned before shifting to other unit.
Maintain patients and accompanies safety by taking preventivemeasures against accidents.
Accurately records and reports incidents.
Ensure every error to be recorded.
Ensure strict infection control protocol and bio-waste guidelinesto be followed for 24x7.
Ensure that daily briefing points and sign off are mandatory forday to day update.
• Responsible for safety and comfort of patients, and the health andsafety of employees assigned to the respective unit.
• Ensure that all the files (record) are completely maintained.
• Ensure that proper observation records of the patient are made andnecessary information imparted to the concerned authorities.
• Ensure proper handling of patient.
• Monitors vital sign and reports abnormalities.
• Ensure samples are collected and send to concerned diagnosticlabs.
• To ensure that staff is taking precaution to avoid blood borninfection
• To ensure refrigerator/deep freezer temperature is maintained.
• To ensure that medical reports are generated timely.
• Any other jobs assigned by superior .
Working conditions
• Should be willing to work in different assigned shifts.
• Stretched working hours
• Great deal with standing walking along with bending lifting

• Field duty (Camps, periphery clinics)
