Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our caring and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Responsibilities

Assist in the organisation and supervision of daily activities within the nursery setting
Support children with their learning, play, and social interactions, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
Work closely with children with special educational needs, including those with autism, providing personalised support
Implement educational programmes under the guidance of senior staff, fostering development in communication, social skills, and independence
Aid in the preparation of learning materials and resources tailored to individual needs
Promote positive behaviour management strategies and encourage children’s emotional well-being
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's development plan
Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Skills

Experience or interest in special education and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents
Ability to teach, mentor, and provide tutoring support tailored to each child's needs
Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth
Organised, patient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of young learners
Previous experience in mentoring or working with children will be advantageous but is not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
