Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse
Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services
Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety
Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit
Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record
This position requires a full week of corporate orientation
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
You will be required to attend the entire week consecutively

5 North is a 37 bed Medical surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities and * patient beds that can utilize video monitoring to enhance patient safety. The RN joining our team must have good critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to care for patients with complex disease processes that cover a wide spectrum. Caring for our diverse patient population you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of doctors and healthcare team members. This experience will allow you to enhance your knowledge and support your patients on their journey to better health.

Scope of work

• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
• Current CNA certification preferred
