Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities: Perform and interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies (PET, PET-CT, SPECT, SPECT-CT, Gamma Camera, etc.). Plan, supervise, and administer radionuclide therapies (e.g., thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, bone pain palliation, etc.). Ensure accurate reporting of nuclear medicine scans for timely diagnosis and clinical decision-making. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncology, radiology, cardiology, endocrinology, etc.) for integrated patient management. Operational & Administrative: Ensure compliance with Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) and other statutory regulations regarding radiation safety and handling of radioactive materials. Supervise and train technologists, junior doctors, and other staff in nuclear medicine practices. Contribute to departmental protocols, SOPs, and quality assurance programs. Participate in hospital committees, audits, and accreditation processes (NABH/JCI). Teaching & Research (if applicable): Conduct academic sessions for residents, interns, and paramedical staff. Engage in research activities, clinical trials, and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Stay updated with latest advancements and innovations in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
