Mechanical experience 2-5 years
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods

Responsibilities
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
The Preparation Technician is responsible for inspecting, preparing, and maintaining equipment to ensure fleet readiness, safety, and compliance
This role supports daily operations by conducting detailed inspections, documenting work accurately, and addressing equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency

Conduct detailed inspections of accessorial equipment including chains, binders, straps, and tarps
Perform minor mechanical repairs, Inverter, mudflaps, lights, batteries, headache rack replacement
Assisting senior technicians
Perform inbound inspections to verify that all equipment is safe, functional, and compliant
Thoroughly detail tractors to prepare them for new drivers
Use a tablet or computerized system to receive assignments and document work performed
Maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure preparation tasks are completed efficiently
Adhere to all company safety policies and applicable regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Work is performed in a shop or yard environment
Exposure to mechanical equipment, outdoor conditions, and cleaning materials may occur
