Role Description
This is a full-time position for an NDT Technician based in Texas, with primary field assignments located in Houston. The NDT Technician will conduct a range of testing methods, including ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), penetrant testing (PT), and visual testing (VT) on-site at client facilities and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection Assistance & Execution: Set up testing areas and process parts testing methods, including ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), penetrant testing (PT), and visual testing (VT) in strict accordance with approved written procedures, calibrated checklists, and supervisor direction.
Site Deployment: Travel to client sites (local and regional) to support field inspection crews and handle equipment setup, pre-cleaning, and post-test processing across various industrial environments.
Operational Flexibility: Work overtime, weekends, or non-standard shifts as required by project deadlines, emergency callouts, and client facility "shutdown" schedules.
Data Collection & Documentation: Accurately log inspection parameters, maintain daily shift records, and draft field notes to assist Level II inspectors in generating final technical reports.
Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols, client site requirements, and quality control standards throughout the execution of the job.
Equipment Care & Maintenance: Clean, organize, and perform routine verification checks or calibrations on specialized NDT equipment to ensure field readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Proficiency: Level I certification in relevant NDT methodologies (UT, MT, PT, VT).
Field Readiness: Ability to travel frequently to client sites and work in various weather conditions or confined industrial spaces.
Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work overtime and maintain a flexible schedule to meet urgent client needs and project milestones.
Analytical Skill: Strong knowledge of industry codes/standards (SNT-TC-1A, ASME, API, AWS, NAS410, DS1-1, etc.).
Physical Ability: Ability to lift inspection equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and navigate industrial infrastructure safely.
Documentation: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce professional, audit-ready inspection reports.
Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for travel to job sites.

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience and professional certifications.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
