Job Description
Progressive Technology is seeking an experienced and reliable Night Shift Driver to join our Transport Services team in Coimbatore. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong sense of responsibility, exceptional driving skills, and are able to work through the night to ensure timely and safe transportation of goods or passengers. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and punctuality of transport operations during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
• * Safely operate company vehicles during night hours, ensuring the safe delivery of goods or passengers to various locations.
• * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• * Ensure all deliveries are completed within designated timeframes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• * Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
• * Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management.
• * Assist in loading and unloading goods, if applicable.
• * Provide excellent customer service, handling passengers and goods with care and professionalism.
• * Follow all company policies, procedures, and traffic rules while on duty.
• * Ensure timely and safe arrival at destinations, while effectively managing unexpected road conditions or delays.
• * Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Valid drivers license for the relevant class of vehicle.
• * Proven experience as a driver with a clean driving record.
• * Ability to operate vehicles with various transmission types (manual and automatic).
• * Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• * Strong navigation skills, with the ability to use GPS or maps effectively.
• * Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• * Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or in difficult situations.
• * Good physical stamina and ability to handle long hours on the road.
• * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• * High attention to detail and time management skills.
• Experience
• * At least 2 years of experience as a driver, preferably with experience in night shift operations.
• * Previous experience in transport, logistics, or passenger services will be an advantage.
• * Familiarity with the Coimbatore area and surrounding routes is preferred.
• Working Hours
• * Full-time, night shift (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM, subject to change based on operational needs).
• * Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as required.

• * In-depth understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• * Ability to safely drive long distances and manage time effectively.
• * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unforeseen road situations.
