About PCL Health
We are an age-tech startup revolutionising healthcare with real-time data. We are creating a connected-care ecosystem that uses AI-enabled Health Algorithms and medical devices (IoT & Wearables) to digitise medical information exchange. In short, we want to allow older adults to live independently at their homes and enjoy their moments while keeping everyone informed. Our mission is to provide doctors, carers and family relatives with predictive tools capable of picking up health problems before they become severe, therefore saving time, money and lives.
Technical Lead’s Role
You will be responsible for:
The availability, security, scalability and interoperability of our platform
Working seamlessly with team which will hands-on coding
Delivering our product roadmap
Planning for the future
Generating enthusiasm and a sense of both technical and product pride
You’ll Need To
As a Technical Lead, you play a key role in ensuring your team can efficiently turn ideas into reality.
Lead by example by remaining hands-on and deeply involved in the technical work of your team
Take ideas and requirements from multiple sources and ensure they get turned into well-defined tasks that are ready to be worked on by the team
Ensure that everyone in the team has a reasonable workload
Track the progress that your team and individuals are making and transparently communicate that progress to the stakeholders
Identify when people are blocked or struggling
Ensure that everyone in your team keeps to agreed processes, standards and designs
Ensure you and others are continuously improve, by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make the team more effective
Take responsibility for supporting your changes all the way through proving they work well and continue to work well in the production
You'll Need To
As well as responsibility for the technical implementations and throughput of your team, you're responsible for the overall health of your team and the people in it.
Hold regular 1-2-1 meetings with every member of your team
Agree on personal objectives for team members, and then provide support to help them to be met, as well as tracking and review progress
Identify technical gaps in the team and plan training or hiring to fill those gaps
Instil the common responsibilities and principles of the technology group in each member of your team
Generate enthusiasm and a sense of pride within your team for both product features you build and the engineering skills you apply to problems
Your Skills And Experience
Essential for this position:
At least 2 years of experience in leading a team of software developers
At least 8-10 years of commercial experience with C#, .NET and .NET core
At least 8-10 years of commercial experience with HTML/CSS and one of Javascript frameworks
At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure
Designing and developing APIs for both high availability and scalability
Performance profiling and tuning of .NET code
Writing automated tests (both unit and integration tests)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps)
Applying problem-solving skills to technical issues
You would get extra points for any of the following:
Scrum master experience and deep understanding of Agile methodologies
DevOps experience for highly-available and scalable systems
Experience with Health-tech, FHIR, Wearables, IoT
