Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Nature Educator Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach programs that promote environmental education and awareness among children, families, and schools. By designing engaging educational materials, organising workshops and events, you will play a crucial role in inspiring a love for nature and conservation.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver educational programs for diverse audiences, including schools, families, and communities.
• Research environmental topics and create relevant and up-to-date lesson plans.
• Lead outdoor activities and field trips.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and maintain exhibits and educational materials.
• Contribute to the success of the Wildlife Wing.
• Establish partnerships with schools to expand the reach of our nature-based programs.
• Organise workshops, seminars, and events to foster a connection with nature.
• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in environmental education.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to promote outreach programs through various channels, including social media and newsletters.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental education, biology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in environmental education or a related field
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for nature and a commitment to environmental education
