Multimedia Designer
Job Description
IT By Design is looking for a Multimedia Designer who can move fluidly between static design and video, someone who designs a polished one-pager in Photoshop and can edit a product video in Premiere Pro . This is a hands-on production role: you'll execute against the brand systems and creative standards set by the Creative Lead, using AI tools to accelerate both design and video work wherever it makes sense.
Key Responsibilities
• Design static creative assets - social posts, one-pagers, presentations, case studies, event collateral, email/newsletter graphics - in line with brand guidelines set by the Creative Lead.
• Edit, and finish video content - product videos, event recaps, social clips, testimonials, and campaign videos - from raw footage to final export. Past experience. Video shooting experience will be a strong plus.
• Translate creative briefs into compelling video concepts and flows, independently determining the narrative, structure, shots, pacing, and visual storytelling approach.
• Build basic motion graphics and animated content to elevate video and presentation content.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Google Veo or similar generative video tools, AI image generation, AI-assisted editing features in Premiere Pro/Illustrator) to speed up ideation, drafts, and production without compromising final quality.
• Adopt and consistently apply templates, style guides, and creative systems built by the Creative Lead - flag gaps or inconsistencies rather than improvising off-brand.
• Manage multiple concurrent design and video requests, prioritizing based on deadlines and campaign needs.
Skills and Experience Required
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in graphic design and video editing - this is a dual-skillset role.
• Strong static design skills: layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, and the ability to match an existing brand system exactly.
• Strong video editing skills: pacing, structure, sound design basics, color grading/calibration, and export optimization for different platforms (social, web, event screens).
• Working knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation - comfortable building simple animated elements, not just cutting footage.
• Practical, current experience using AI tools as part of a real production workflow (generative video, AI-assisted editing, AI image generation) — not just awareness of them.
• Strong time management - comfortable juggling multiple briefs with different deadlines and priorities.
• A good eye for quality and detail, with the discipline to redo work that doesn't meet the bar.
Tools and Platforms
Candidates should have working proficiency in most of the following, or demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly:
• Adobe Premiere Pro - for video editing, calibration, and color grading
• Adobe After Effects (or similar) — for motion graphics and animation
• Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator — for static design and image editing
• Figma — for layout-based and collaborative design work
• AI video/image tools (e.g., Google Veo, Runway, Midjourney, or similar) — for accelerated content generation
• PowerPoint / Google Slides — for presentation design support
Preferred Background
• B2B, IT/MSP services, SaaS, agency, or content-led environments.
• Experience working within an established brand system rather than building one from scratch.
• Exposure to event content production (recap videos, live event graphics, on-site content turnaround).
