Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
Deliver goods to clients across designated routes in a timely manner
Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit
Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
Valid driver licence with a clean driving record
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Good organisational skills to manage routes effectively and meet deadlines
Physical fitness to handle the demands of heavy lifting and extended periods of driving
Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the delivery schedule
