Phoenix Motorcycle Training Ltd is the largest motorcycle training school in the UK. We have 26 sites throughout the country and are committed to providing the highest standards of motorcycle training.
We are now looking for full and part-time instructors in our very busy Bristol, Bath, Keynsham and Swindon locations to start training with us as soon as possible, with a view to being signed off to start delivering training on your own shortly afterwards. Full training will be given, including a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
The Role
You will be working with a variety of customers from differing backgrounds and levels of experience. Training will take place in all weathers only being cancelled when the safety of students or instructors is at risk. You will need to be able to rise to the challenge of teaching new riders who are struggling with the basics of control, to fine tuning the skills of experienced riders renewing their CBT or returning to riding after a period of absence.
We provide all motorcycles, fuel and equipment for students, but the instructor will need to provide their own motorbike. We will cover you for business use insurance while you are instructing.
Ideal Candidate
You will be passionate about motorcycling and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You need to be someone who enjoys teaching at all levels and gains satisfaction from seeing others succeed. Previous experience of training or working in a customer focused environment is a definite advantage.
Some knowledge of motorcycle maintenance would also be an advantage.
Essential
A full clean motorcycle licence is required, held for 3 years, and you must be of good character.
You must be articulate, have a positive attitude and have a commitment to deliver the best training. A DBS check will need to be carried out.
A flexible approach to our students' needs is a crucial requirement.
Benefits
You will receive the backup and full support of a dedicated call centre and a national organisation. This position will be self-employed and rates vary, depending on courses delivered. The OTE of £30,000 to £35,000 is achievable for a 5/6-day week.
Training will be provided free of charge as long as you commit to working for us for a minimum of 2 years and earnings will commence in full, once qualified. During your training we will pay an allowance of £100 for up to 10 days.
This training will be completed at our national training centre in Sidcup in South East London or in the Bristol area. Accommodation will be provided while you are in training
