POSITION DETAILS
Job Type: Full-Time Work Setting: In-Office (On-site) Location: Troy, Michigan, United States
This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Troy, Michigan headquarters. Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to the Troy, MI area.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Mortgage Recruiter, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified mortgage professionals including Loan Officers (LOs), Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs), and Team Leads. You will play a critical role in expanding our team while representing Right Mortgage LLCs culture and values in every interaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, source, and hire Loan Officers (LOs), Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs), and Team Leads to support company growth
- Conduct campus recruitment initiatives at colleges and universities to attract emerging mortgage talent
- Travel to various locations, career fairs, and industry events to proactively source and engage top candidates
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through networking, social media, job boards, and referrals
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies
- Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and manage the full-cycle recruiting process
- Extend offers and guide candidates through the onboarding process
- Track recruiting metrics and provide regular reporting on pipeline activity and hiring progress
- Post and manage job listings across all major platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Handshake, Glassdoor, and Meta Ads
- Leverage AI tools including Claude and other AI-powered platforms to enhance sourcing, screening, and recruitment workflows
- Build, manage, and continuously grow a robust talent pipeline of qualified mortgage professionals
- Report directly to the VP of the company with regular updates on recruiting activity, pipeline status, and hiring metrics
- Represent the company brand at recruitment events and community outreach efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry
- Familiarity with mortgage roles including LOs, LOAs, and Team Leads
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel for campus and field recruitment events
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Proficiency with ATS software and LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience posting and managing job ads on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Handshake, Glassdoor, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude or similar AI platforms for sourcing, screening, and drafting recruitment content
- Proven ability to build and maintain a structured talent pipeline
- Comfortable presenting recruiting reports and updates directly to senior leadership / VP level
