Job Description
• MongoDB Database Administrator Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled MongoDB Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with MongoDB and its ecosystem, with a strong focus on high availability, automation, and real-time data synchronization.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of MongoDB databases across various environments.
• Design and implement distributed data synchronization solutions using MongoDB replication/sharding and Kafka-based real-time pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment and configuration scripts using Ansible.
• Design and implement database archiving strategies to optimize storage usage while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Apply data masking techniques to protect sensitive datasets during testing, development, and analytics.
• Monitor system health and performance, implementing optimizations and addressing issues promptly.
• Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, and role-based permissions.
• Maintain database procedures, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience as a MongoDB DBA in production environments.
• Expertise in MongoDB architecture, replication, sharding, backup, and recovery.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven data architecture.
• Proven experience with Ansible for automation of database tasks and infrastructure provisioning.
• Knowledge and implementation experience of database archiving and data masking.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Linux-based environments.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas and hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Ops Manager.
