Position: MONGODB Database Administrator- 6 to 10 yrs Only

Role &
Responsibilities
Work as Subject Matter Expert for Mongo
DB Database technologies.
Acquire knowledge and detailed understanding on customer’s Database environment.
Validate Scope of Work and Due Diligence of Data and identify gaps
Responsible for interacting with internal teams, vendors, and customers to coordinate the timely implementation of Database services
Work effectively on diverse type of customers from different time zones
Validate RLS and identify skill gaps
Gather required and detailed information and develop SMTDs & SOPs with complete understanding of customer Database environment.
Responsible for giving reverse knowledge transfer to team and getting sign-off from customer and internal stakeholder
Anticipate risks and challenges well in advance and effectively articulate risks & challenges and get sign-off on SMTD, Risk Register and other technical / operational documents. Propose risk mitigation plan and options. Work with the internal and external eco system to mitigate risks in good time.
Responsible for implementing best practice, hardening and automation of BAU tasks.
Knowledge and ability to identify the risks on the customer Database environment & make recommendations of solutions according to the industry best practices relevant for customer landscape.
Change management in customer end for remote management of Databases and onboarding of Monitoring tools.
Self-driven and motivated individual who can lead from the front and take end to end ownership of the Mongo
DB Database Process and Technologies for seamless transition and smooth Go Live of services from the perspective of People, Process and Technology.
Strong Proficiency in MONGODB database administration.
Experience with replication configuration in MONGODB
Experience in Sharding concepts configuration of MONGODB
Provision MONGODB instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
Understanding of MONGO’s underlying storage engines, such as Wired Tiger and In-Memory Storage Engine
Ensure Performance, security, and availability of databases
Prepare documentation and specification
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade backup, migration, recovery etc.
Proficient in writing and optimizing mongo dB SQL statements
Knowledge of different MONGODB features, Sharding, Load balancing, Indexing
Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
Knowledge of limitations in MONGODB and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
