Role Description:

We are looking for a Mobile App Developer with strong experience in React Native and Expo to join our team.

In this role, you will work on developing, maintaining, and improving modern mobile applications across iOS and Android. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into reliable, intuitive, and high-quality mobile experiences.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of features from development through testing and deployment, while maintaining a strong focus on performance, usability, and code quality.

Key Responsibilties:
• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo
• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable mobile components
• Translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into functional mobile experiences
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform-specific problems
• Optimise applications for performance, responsiveness, and reliability
• Implement features such as authentication, push notifications, analytics, media handling, and third-party integrations
• Manage application builds, releases, and updates for iOS and Android
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in code reviews and follow good development and Git practices
• Contribute to technical decisions and continuously improve application quality

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native
• Experience working with Expo
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Good understanding of React concepts, hooks, component architecture, and state management
• Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with Git and version-control workflows
• Understanding of mobile application performance and optimisation
• Familiarity with iOS and Android application lifecycles
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting mobile applications
• Ability to write clean, structured, and maintainable code

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in mobile application development preferred
• Demonstrable experience building applications using React Native
• Experience working on applications that have been released or prepared for release on iOS and Android
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Good to Have:
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Familiarity with MongoDB and/or MySQL
• Experience with Firebase or similar services
• Experience implementing push notifications
• Experience with analytics and crash-reporting tools
• Knowledge of native Android/iOS development
• Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Experience with CI/CD or automated mobile build and deployment workflows
