Job Description
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 Operator’s License.
Journey Certified Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) recognized in Alberta, Or 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good, positive attitude, with the ability to accept last minute changes to schedule.
Indoor and outdoor work. Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Ability to work shift work (days/nights) as needed.
Physical ability to lift, up to 50lb
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision, be highly motivated, energetic, and enjoy working as part of a team.
Due to hazards associated with the position this position is safety sensitive and subject to drug & ******* testing; this includes pre access, post incident, reasonable cause.
Working conditions:
Able and willing to work long hours
Able and willing to work alone
Able and willing to work outside in the extreme cold or extreme hot conditions with PPE on. Adaptable to Northern Alberta weather.
Physical requirements:
Ability to regularly handle and lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to pass a medical fit for work exam
Ability to pass a pre-access Drug & ******* test
