Share your love of Fiordland with our guests. You'll guide water activities, deliver commentary on the fauna, flora and history of the Sound, and help create the kind of evening on the water people never forget.
We're looking for a passionate and energetic Nature Guide to join our incredible team aboard the Mariner. If you love the outdoors, thrive in a remote environment, and have a knack for storytelling, this could be the perfect fit.
As a Nature Guide, you'll be the voice of the fiord - bringing the magic of Milford Sound to life for our guests. You'll work alongside a dedicated crew of Launch Masters, Chefs, and fellow guides to deliver unforgettable experiences on the water.
Your days will be filled with:
Delivering engaging and informative commentary
Hosting and guiding guests through the wonders of Fiordland
Supporting onboard operations and activities like kayaking
Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
What we're looking for:
To be considered for this role you will have all this under your belt:
At least 2 years' Guiding, Hosting or Hospitality Experience
Maritime knowledge
Experience in operating a small tender craft preferred
Knowledge of Fiordland flora and fauna
Someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy, and remote environment. Great communication skills and a strong team player who enjoys working with a diverse crew.
Is physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Loves the outdoors and doesn't mind a bit of rain!
