SEEKING MIDDLE SCHOOL ELA TEACHER FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
The Hellenic Classical Charter Schools are public charter schools located in Brooklyn (HCCS-PS) and Staten Island (HCCS-SI). HCCS provides a classics based education in the study of humanities and literature for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grades.

Seeking Middle School ELA Teacher: 7:45 am start - Great time and attendance, good work ethic, team player, learner, compassionate, good communication skills, positive attitude, energetic and good classroom management skills.
The Middle School ELA Teacher will be responsible for:
Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the ELA curriculum for grades 6-8
Implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment
Administering assessments to determine individual student levels and using data to drive instruction
Collaborating regularly with other team members to plan integrated units, activities, and discuss student growth
Creating a positive learning environment with emphasis on individualized instruction, including accommodations and modifications where appropriate
Communicating with parents regularly, including school events, conferences, and phone calls as needed
Administering state and/or standardized testing
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Adolescent Education (Gr. 7-12) or related degree within the field of Education
NYS Teaching License or related teaching license within the field of Education
Fingerprint clearance
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
