Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Microbiology Lab Technician and play a vital role in advancing scientific research and quality assurance within a cutting-edge laboratory environment. In this position, you will be responsible for performing microbiological testing, supporting research and development projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, precision, and integrity in laboratory operations, supporting both clinical and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
Conduct microbiological assays, including culture preparation, incubation, enumeration, and identification of microorganisms.
Perform routine quality control tests to verify the consistency and reliability of laboratory procedures and products.
Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure data integrity and traceability.
Follow strict laboratory procedures aligned with GLP, CGMP, and FDA regulations to uphold compliance standards.
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and adhere to safety protocols related to microbiology, animal physiology, and veterinary terminology.
Skills
Strong understanding of laboratory techniques including microbiology methods, molecular biology procedures, histology, and analysis skills.
Experience working in clinical or industrial laboratories with knowledge of FDA regulations and CGMP standards.
Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data collection and record keeping.
Knowledge of GLP practices to ensure quality control during research & development activities.
Ability to interpret scientific data accurately while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills combined with a solid foundation in math for quantitative analysis.
