Job Description
As a Merchant Banking Head, you will play a crucial role in leading the execution of IPO mandates from start to finish. This includes:
• Due diligence
• Documentation
• Regulatory filings
• Marketing and listing
You will work closely with internal teams, including origination, compliance, research, and sales, as well as external advisors such as lawyers, auditors, and registrars.
Your responsibilities will also include ensuring timely preparation and submission of offer documents, staying up-to-date with regulations related to IPOs and public offerings, and managing regulatory queries and approvals.
In addition, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients during the IPO process and build strong relationships with promoters, board members, and senior employees of client companies.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in planning investor roadshows, analyst meets, and IPO marketing strategies
• Liaising with research and sales teams to ensure effective messaging to institutional and retail investors
• Ensuring accurate reporting of all material data
• Coordinating with third parties, including consultants, exchanges, and regulators
• Conducting financial and legal due diligence
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent industry network, strong interpersonal skills, and expertise in issue management.
