MEP Design Engineer (Plumbing and Fire Fighting) ()

Job description
• Responsible for the Plumbing and Fire-Fighting detailed design development from the concept design stage to CD stage for High-Rise Residential, Commercial and Leisure/hospitality buildings. Would be responsible for giving VE options in design.
• He will be responsible for tender documents and contracts administration related to Plumbing & Fire Fighting works. • Will be responsible for shop drawing review and addressing RFIs.
• Shall be responsible for interdepartmental coordination. Complete Plumbing calculations including water supply, storm, and equipment sizes. • Design, select, schedule, size and specify basic Plumbing system components to include plumbing fixtures, drains, and equipment.
• Design and select fire protection systems and equipment. • Preparation of RFP for the consultant
• Preparation of design brief of projects
• Preparation of detail design drawings for pl and fire and issue of GFC
• Review and approval of shop drawing.
• Vendor development and finalization of current materials.
• Coordination and resolution of site issues.
• Review of consultant schematics, calculations, and issue of GFC drawings.
• Value engineering in design for selection of optimal design. • All Aspects of Project Design, Preliminary Design Report with Cost Estimates, Design Drawings, Preparation of Specifications and Bill of Quantities, Periodic Site Supervision.
• Following with Consultant for any technical issues related to Drawings/technical submittals approval.
